At midnight on November 22nd, 2011, it became illegal for whiskymakers to use the term Vatted Malt to label a Scotch whisky made from a combination of two or more single malt whiskies and instead, this style of whisky by law had to be labelled as a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. To mark the occasion, we created a limited edition bottling made from a marriage of single malt whiskies from two distilleries.
